How the 4-Week Journey Works

Four sessions. A plan your family can actually use.

Sessions are 60–75 minutes, in English or Spanish, by video or in person.

WEEK 1

We slow things down.

You tell us where your family is, what feels overwhelming, and what you already know. We show you the key decision windows for this year so nothing sneaks up on you.

WEEK 2

We map your real options.

Using our Local Pathways Map, we walk through 3–5 local campuses or programs that actually fit your family's goals, distance, and budget. No pressure, no sales pitch — just honest information about what's nearby and what it costs.

WEEK 3

We work through money.

FAFSA, TASFA, award letters, scholarships. We explain what the forms are actually asking and what the numbers actually mean for your family.

WEEK 4

You leave with a plan.

A simple 90-day roadmap with your next steps written down, in plain language, in the language you prefer. You don't have to remember everything — we give it to you.

Our next group starts May 19.

Sessions meet weekly on Tuesdays at 6:30pm by video.

Free for families in La Porte, Deer Park, Pasadena, and nearby Ship Channel communities. Sessions in English and Spanish.

We run small groups throughout the year —

6 to 8 families at a time.

When one group fills, we'll hold your spot for the next one.

Navigator Drop-In Hours

Have one question? That's enough to start.

Facebook Post - Join Our Community of Volunteers_edited.jpg

Not every family is ready for a 4-week commitment — and that's okay. Navigator Hours exist for the moments when a deadline just showed up, a form is confusing, or you just need one honest answer before you can move forward. During Navigator Hours you can WhatsApp a bilingual navigator — free, no appointment, no forms to fill out first. We answer questions about FAFSA, TASFA, local campuses, financial aid letters, dual credit, licensing rules, and anything else that's blocking your next step.

Not sure what to ask? Just say hola and we'll go from there.

Free, bilingual, no commitment.
