Our Why

Anchored Pathways to Higher Education exists to help bilingual students and families navigate the path to college and career training with clarity and confidence. Many families are working hard to support their children’s educational goals but often face complex systems, limited information, and language barriers along the way. Anchored Pathways was created to walk alongside families, helping them understand their options and connect with trusted resources in their communities.

Our Mission

Anchored Pathways to Higher Education amplifies the strengths of bilingual individuals and families to confidently open new doors to higher education and career training by providing information and tools, and connecting them with trusted community partners when additional support is needed.

Our Vision

Grounded in faith and equity, we envision a world where bilingual students and families are recognized for their resilience and equipped to pursue new doors of opportunity in education and career training. Walking alongside them, we break cycles of exclusion, foster multi-generational success, and cultivate hope, belonging, and transformation for generations to come.

Michelle Gutierrez

Founder

Anchored Pathways to Higher Education was founded by Michelle Gutierrez, an educator and advocate who has spent years working alongside students and families navigating higher education systems. Through her work in schools and universities, she saw firsthand how confusing and overwhelming the process can be for families without access to trusted guidance. Anchored Pathways was created to help ensure that families do not have to navigate these pathways alone.
